the 13th Wonder of the World

This week we were very pleased to receive the unexpected visit from our carpenter saying he wanted to install the missing doors - all in the private part of the house.
We couldn't believe our eyes and ears. More than two years after the deadline of the signed contract.

See for yourselves.

Now there is more work to come for me : the finishing touches are still to be done : the painting of the walls and the installation of another toilet.

Follows a picture of the first all green lizard spotted in our garden. Normally they are rather brown like the earth.
Or should lizards be like chameleons?

the weather : no comments

The South-(West) of France had one of its rainiest weeks in the last years : everyday buckets of rain - and little sunshine.
One big comfort though : it cannot become worse - on the contrary.
The weather forecasts for the near future are very optimistic.

Only the plants and the flowers are happy : poppies blow everywhere.

A weather bath

This week was - if I dare say - a week of weather extremities in the Lot region : every day lovely sunshine but alternating with the wildest rain showers and wind blows - very unusual for the time of the year. Could it be a consequence of the recent volcano eruption in Iceland?

Luckily last weekend I cut the lawn - just in time.

Some photo impressions taken within one hour's time :

Luckily at evenings the sun was always back.

The first cycling tourists arrived. Their tour took them from Montpellier to Bordeaux over Toulouse, Agen, Moissac and Prayssac. It still remains a mystery how Prayssac came into the picture.

A myriad of flowers

Thanks to the good weather our garden presents a sea of different colours and flowers.
Just a few to give an impression.

Can somebody help us to give them names?
